Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) – though normal cars are not covered in PUWER, 4x4s with their specialised equipment (low-range gear boxes, diff-locks etc) and winching and recovery equipment are covered by the regulations. Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) – this is the short guide to the LOLER regulations which cover all lifting operations. Under certain circumstances we may be prepared to accept drivers who have had training under different schemes (BORDA, NPTC, RoSPA etc) into the experienced user course, but this is not a cost saving option. Any operator who does not meet the required standard by the end of the day will not be certified.

Workplace Quad Bike Courses reduce the cost for candidates to travel, hire venues, provide catering and machinery. If we are training your candidates at your workplace, we can usually train 2 candidates per day at a cost of £340+£30/candidate. For the cost of £200/candidate, your riders get full familiarisation with the maintenance checks and controls of the bike they will be using on a daily basis, rather than a hired machine which could be very different in use. They also get training on the terrain they are most familiar with, and will be encountering daily. This allows us to work with them to develop their site specific quad bike and ATV risk assessments, as well as the skills which will be genuinely relevant to their day to day work in minimising those risks.

We really do feel that this is by far the best way to train riders, ensuring efficient, safe and sympathetic use of the machines and treatment of their working environment.

As many operators are required to ride with trailers, loads or job specific trailed machinery, work place quad bike training is the ideal way for us to introduce the specific tasks, dynamically assess the potential risks and giving them the skills to minimise the dangers inherent in ATV riding with loads and trailers.

All of our sites are chosen for their variety of terrain and real environments. We only use natural courses, with only the minimum of man-made hazards where we cannot otherwise provide them.

If you require training at your own sites, we can arrange to have them LANTRA approved so that all of your training can be carried out in the environment in which your 4×4 operators will be working. This will also provide you with a Health & Safety risk assessment for your working areas.

We have 4×4 training venues in Devon, South Wales, Cumbria, Ayrshire, Essex and Buckingham. We will often run 4×4 familiarisation and handling courses, ATV training and Quad Bike courses at your workplace across the UK.
